100% new as in"made from parts".

The watch didn't exist as a whole in 1968... but those parts did and now they've been put together.

Search Watchco on this forum to see more about them.

Actually that is incorrect. The only part that is from 1968 is the movement, the rest of the watch, case, dial, hands are new production, they are not vintage parts as your statement would indicate, they did not exist in 1968.

Interesting that the listing states "will not ship to the UK". I wonder if that's a legal issue, because it isn't a vintage watch, or just down to import taxes because it's actually regarded as new and would be liable for duty? Either way, it should be in the Modern Omegas section of the forum...

Nah these belong here because it is being powered by a vintage movement and thus needs the discerning eye of vintage watch enthusiasts. 😀

Vintage watches are also liable for duty.

Likely just doesn't ship to the UK as seller prefers to keep it simple by offering only domestic shipping.

I don't like it. I would prefer a real vintage or a new production Seamaster 300.

Oops! Should have remembered that, thanks for the correction.

Iffy ground these things, they go for real money and yet aren't really vintage or new.
And I always worry that someday, once they look a little used, that they are going to be sold on to some newbie as genuine vintage.

Lovey watch though... it wouldn't be hard to take one home.
