sad story I left this with a watchmaker to service , change crystal and fix chronothat wouldn't reset. He couldn't source part needed and I wasn't in a hurry so he said leave it with me and something may pop up . He had it for 2 years and he retired I got it back like this . Also missing the 3 chrono hands and I hope nothing else. IMG_3664.JPG IMG_3667.JPG

Wow is that the later version? It doesn't look like mine and that's not mirror finish on the dial, is it? What a pity, such a nice watch. I would love to have the parts though.

Maybe Omega would take it for repair, another option? Send them a letter explaining the situation, the worst they could do is say no.

That's an earlier dial - I believe they changed it for the applied indices later on. I actually prefer it ;)

Pretty sure most parts are still available, but do know that a service with Omega is big money on the F300 chronos - probably as much as the whole thing is worth in mint condition. The good news is that the Speedsonics are fetching proper money if in the right condition - if a non-Omega specialist such as one of the above can get the parts it's probably worth doing.

Wow that stinks, you would have thought he would have tried a little harder to put it back as delivered to him originally.

Found this US based company, don't know anything about them so do your own due diligence.

    Just sent you a PM.

Omega are somewhere between £750 and £1500 depending on what might need doing beyond a service.

Most of the Omega Caliber 1255 parts are available at cousinsuk.com. Not cheap but they have them.
