Looks like we have a bog standard 145.022-76 here, if I had to make a guess, being misrepresented as a "64-68". Now granted it's attractive for what it is, but it sure as hell ain't a $10,000 watch.

    And the amazingly detailed description:

"OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Steel Moon certified Watch. made from 1964-1968, WORKING AS DESIGNED. AWESOME. FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON. AWESOME."

Maybe he heard about the aml, step dial and don and thinks his watch has them all?
Then the price is not that far off, right?

Well a Moon Crater box just sold on eBay for £2700+ ($3500) so anything is possible these days...

The seller is clearly misinformed. Nothing to get all worked up about.

Don’t forget that to the average person, this watch and a 105.012-66CB will look exactly the same. (And will be worth exactly the same).

On the flip-side, sometimes you can get great deals from clueless eBay sellers.

Not everyone is on OF 24/7 and knows how to recognize all the little differences between each and every reference.

Heck, you’ll probably be surprised to know that to most “old school” watch dealers (ones that have no online presence, and work on a cash/check basis only) there are still only two types of Speedmaster; a 321 and an 861...
