Hi guys

I am struggling to figure out when the Universal Geneve 884.475 was made. I have seen it listed as made in the 1950s, 60s, 80s or 90s!!

Does anyone know?

And does anyone have any other information in it, please? Such as what a fair price would be?

I think this watch is beautiful but as it is so new, I am not sure about whether it's worth the sort of prices I have seen it sold for. Do people think Eur3,000 is too much? My gut feeling is yes, but I don't know the market well enough to know for sure.

 

Who knows? I don't think anyone ever thought that many UG would reach +20k. When I told my father in law that his gold tri-Compax was worth over 10k he answered "Why, I paid 1800 chf for it in the late 60s".

For now the late Compax is not really a collectible piece. If you like it and if you think it's worth the money get it. Worst that can happen is that you got a watch you like for 3000$.
