    Yes, it is for a pie-pan or dome dial or hidden crown, or any one of a dozen different references.

    Value is what someone else will pay for it.

    Prices of boxes vary widely, depending on condition, age, rarity, country of purchase, BIT vs bid auctions etc and how much (how desperate) the person buying really wants the box

    Your is nice, but is incomplete - its missing the inside pad that holds the watch in place, and polishing cloth etc

    Complete boxes sell for top dollar - just search completed listings on ebay
