Somebody probably didn't get the memo a few years ago that eBay also charges their percentage on shipping. They started doing this exactly for this reason - sellers putting all the money into shipping costs to try to skirt paying eBay their share.
Is there a way to buy it without paying the shipping cost, then complain to eBay about the exorbitant shipping fee to get it lowered to close to the real cost, which would essentially net you that watch for dirt cheap?
Zero transactions as a seller and none at all in the last 3 months. Add in the South American address and my spidey sense is tingling, even if the shipping was $45 instead of $4,500. gatorcpa
I recall reading somewhere in the seller agreement that overcharging, etc., for shipping is prohibited. I would report the listing.
Couldn't see it originally as seller is not shipping to Australia. Checked my US eBay account and laughed.
They used to have a way of reporting for excessive shipping fees. You can report as follow to get Ebay's attention. Click on: Report Item Listing Practices Avoiding Ebay Fees Other ways of avoiding Ebay fees
Ahsposnot. Becomes part of your cost. You can deduct it when you sell, against any profit you make [\sarcasm]. BTW, looks like someone (with zero feedback ) bid the minimum, so the buy-it-now option is gone and it becomes a real eBay auction. gatorcpa
That person either didn't see the shipping charge (probably assumed it was sane) or it's a shill. EDIT: 0 feedback "bidder" - i.e. a shill.
If legit, I wonder what the seller would do if you did the BIN option and were able to pick it up in person?
