So... you've been saving and saving and now have amassed a budget of £10K... you want a vintage Omega Speedmaster and love them all. So which do you invest in?
Got a vintage speedy ... two now ... so the £10,000 would definitely go on a JLC Master Ultra Thin Perpetual in white gold (tried it on last week and, damn, it's gorgeous). Still have change for dinner too.
Welcome to the forum. I think I would search for a clean Transitional 145.022-68 with box and papers with this as budget. With some luck, it would even have a chocolate dial
With a bit of haggling and a motivated seller I'd buy a 105.003 made in 1964, because that is the only vintage Speedy I am interested in.
I assume this means you don't have any yet? I wouldn't mind a really nice rich tropical brown from the 60s. Don't care so much about specific references as much as the look.
