Hello all! Recently I posted on this forum about if my watch was original or not. I got great answers telling it was indeed original. Now, if possible, I would like to know the current price of the watch. It's an all stainless steel Omega Constellation with Pie Pan dial, ref 168.010 with caliber 564, it was serviced a year ago. It's on really nice condition, it has some bubbles dots on the dial from age, but they're not to visible and for me it keeps the character of the watch very well. Original crown and crystal. Dial has not been refined. Thanks in advance ! Forgot to mention, the watch works perfectly, it loses around 8 to 10 seconds a day, some time even less. Hello @Pathfinder919

From your other thread, I'm hoping that you're going to keep this watch as a memento of your grandfather - but each to their own if you are not.
    As a valuation critique:
I happen to like the 168.010s but these round case Connies are less sought after (and therefore less valuable) than the earlier dogleg or curved lug references.

    The good
Its a stainless steel pie-pan Connie
The BOR bracelet with the (relatively uncommon) 19mm end links is a nice bonus so adds a bit of value.

    The not-so-good
The significant bubbling on the dial, whilst common on pie-pans of this reference, does hurt the value.
The case has seen some polishing (or more likely wear by your grandfather) as the medallion, bezel and lugs are less sharp than they could be.
The crown is a replacement as it should have a recessed (hidden) crown - no biggy if you are going to keep it but again it affects the value.
The bracelet has some stretch - again not uncommon but it needs to be taken into account

    so value:
Head only, due to the condition of the case and the dial, approx £500-£750
And perhaps add a couple of hundred for the bracelet
You may get more from an open sale on eBay and less from a sale in an auction house
If you are not selling, you should (at least) double the estimate for insurance purposes

    Hope that helps

Hello Peemacgee, thank you for the greatly detailed answer! I'm not going to sell the watch, I just wanted to know the price haha. I couldn't do that to my grandpa, he had it for his entire life and I will keep it in the best condition and service, and some day pass it to my grandson if possible:). MaybeI'll wear it, but I have smaller wrists (I'm 21 and not so fat haha) so I would need to reduce the bracelet size. Anyway thank you again for the reply, have a great day and good luck with all your watches/watch finds!

If you are not looking to sell you don't need to hear his offer, you are not entitled to sell here.

I like where this thread is heading... ::stirthepot::

A person definitely not selling a family heirloom but taking offers without meeting the minimum post requirement :D

If you are sincerely only looking for value for, say insurance purposes then you have already been offered an indication above, for further info take the model number and search on completed ebay listings and that should give you a fuller picture.

Regulars on here get rather sick of the 'look at my family heirloom, it's priceless to me but what's it worth' type of sales post since many are just amateur traders looking for a free valuation and quick sale (against forum rules). You maybe don't fit that category but how are we to tell?

Hello padders! I will search on eBay as you said, thanks for the tip! As for the free valuation sales, it was never my intention to do that. I am new here and I don't know which are the regulars hated topics here. I apologize for it. Thanks for the info!

You’re welcome and I’m glad to hear that you intend to keep the watch.
To you it is priceless but now you have an idea of what to insure it for.
The bracelet can be reduced in two ways - you can adjust the clasp and you can do this yourself but it looks to be fully reduced.
It also has removable links on either side of the clasp (the ones you can see with holes in the end) but this is best left to a watchmaker IMHO.

So when a collector says from £500-£750 as a bit of advice. Like @Peemacgee did so kindly

    He would offer £500

But I would want to see a picture of between 11 and 12 to make sure it’s not a dent. ( Which would make it between £300-400 )

There is a ‘circular’ mark which looks like an indentation on the dial.
It could be just a mark or a ding caused by an impact

    Easy
Most dents are born in the sky. Fluffy clouds are the most common place.

I looked it closely and it is more like a stain. It doesn't has relief, it's flat.
