·I bought more than I thought in a year when I thought I would start downsizing. You be the judge on whether I had any choice.
I bought this from a kind member after my previous Airman was stolen from the mail. A choice.
Then this turned up from an old auction alert I had forgotten about. A watch from an Air Force Ltc. Who flew in Vietnam. No choice.
Then this popped up on an auction site. It's the same reference that was stolen with a serial number very close. Also, a pretty rare watch. Still needs servicing but I think I will drive it to James next year instead of mailing it. No choice.
This was on ebay. A full set. After messaging the owner, found out it was his dad's who passed away in late 60's. His dad worked for a company who worked on developing communications for NASA, where he met John Glenn, who saw his father's watch and said, "Nice watch." No choice.
I became intrigued with vintage Seamasters after seeing a few pop up here in the FS section. A bit intimidating due to the variety in condition and original options. When this nice condition one popped up, I took a chance. Probably my fault.
This was also with the Seamaster. No choice.
My favorite is this. Wanted a pie pan for awhile. Like tge Seamasters, a bit intimidating because there are so many. The Seamaster purchase emboldened me, i guess. When this came up, it looked good after lots of research. The best thing is I finally got my wife to take an interest in watches and this is now worn by her.
While looking for pictures, i saw this one i had completely forgotten about. Funny thing, I wear this the most. I blame Ash for this, as it was in the Ebay good deals thread. It had a recent full service from Omega (1k including new movement) and came full set.
Next year I hope to get only one new watch. After trying ladt year to not buy anything, I am still hopeful.
