There is a new TV advert in the UK including Buzz Aldrin where he talks about having eaten porridge before his famous space walk. He's wearing a watch that looks like a gold chronograph, but it's blurred. I think it's the orange gold co-axial speedmaster but perhaps somebody else can identify it?
Another watch here ? --> http://www.nationalgeographic.com/c.../oct-nov2016/buzz-aldrin/buzz-aldrin-mars.jpg
The one in your linked photo has 3 mini dials. The one on the TV advert looks like it has two. I thought it might be this watch https://www.omegawatches.com/watche...ch/omega-co-axial-chronograph/31163445101001/
Doesn't look like Omega at all to me. Lugs are grooved - which isn't a feature of any current model I know of - and the bracelet doesn't look like Omega either. Also seems very dull - more like a brushed finish. Skip to 1:12 for the best view
I would imagine Omega bend over backwards to ensure the astronauts always wear a Speedmaster in public, so it just seemed hard to imagine him wearing another brand. It might even be a custom watch made purely him.
That one looks like a Deville Chronoscope. For some reason, I can't view the video posted by the OP to see that one. It looks like there are a few different dial variations on the Chronscope. https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/de-ville/chronoscope/co-axial-gmt-chronograph/42253445213001/
Hi @Sgt_Bilko Sir [emoji137] I know the watch Buzz Aldrin is wearing on his left wrist although he is not wearing the correct bracelet for the watch
I'm positive everyone can identify the watch so I'll just post the macrophotographic shots. That's the best way to appreciate its beautiful wonderful design & a watch Buzz Aldrin truly deserves!
