I like to flex my “boat casual” style

And the real topper is my Rolex Domino’s watch. This insures they know I mean business and not to question me.
I don’t disagree with your additional information, Tony, but the “base” calibers manufactured by JLC for those other houses were among the best. Otherwise, why would the big three risk their reputations by using them? And the level of finishing that JLC puts into its own watches is certainly done to a very high standard. Here’s a photo of the movement in my JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon.
Sales people generally don't care what watch you're wearing, they've seen them all. Now if you've bought a watch from them previously, it's a nice touch to wear it when shopping for a new one. It's especially true when dealing with Rolex ADs because it shows them you are not a flipper.

Dare ya' to try to un-see that mental picture.
I agree with Larry: I dress and wear a watch to set the expectation that (i) I know what I want, (ii) I have the ability to buy it, and (iii) I know the value & won't be taken advantage of
That's why God gave most of us two wrists!
