I am very close to picking up a wolf 10 slot watch box for myself but before I commit, wanted to see what members on the forums use to store their watches!!!
Feeling a bit too lazy for an answer, so here's a link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/watch-storage-for-the-lazy-person.40367/ Some entertaining answers as well...
Currently using a heavy mil plastic bag for my awesome [it’s awesome because I built it] generic flieger ETA 6497-1 and all of its straps/bands.
Probably not what you had in mind, but: Case made by the Carolina Case Co. who may or may not still be in business. I need another case!
For the record, that heavy mil plastic bag was free...I saw it blowing down [or up] the street one day...I could see that it was a 'good bag'...so I quickly snatched it from the street.
I use a simple 6 watch ‘coffin’ style box, much like this one (does what I need it to do): https://www.bombay.ca/product/trafalgar-watch-case/
Omega sells calf leather storage boxes. In 3 or 6 slots and choice of colours. Not to big when you need to store in a safe or when traveling. Admittedly they are a bit pricey but quality is second to non.
I bought one of these from Amazon. Nothing flash, but it's surprisingly well made for the price, and the slots are wide enough for larger watches.
Are the magnets that keep the lid close not bad for the watches though?! I know it is not a super strong magnet but I am also not well educated in the internals of a watch and what they can withstand (especially over a 'prolonged' period of time).
I'm no expert, but I haven't noticed any ill effects in the years since I bought it. They're not super strong, just enough to stop it swinging open if you move the box.
Saw someone with one of these at the Time4aPint meet in January. Seemed to work very well as a discreet carrying case for 8 watches.
I've had this wolf box for a few months now and really like it. Solid build and great price. Here's the amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/WOLF-4584029-Windsor-Piece-Watch/dp/B002S0NM82
