What (very specific) watch would you recommend?

It must meet all these requirements:

1. Round 37-39mm
2. Day
3. Date (month bonus but not mandatory)
4. White or silver dial (or light colored in general)
5. No chronograph
6. Not Rolex/Omega
7. Not a diver
8. Thinner is better but not a must

Purposefully not including a budget - I think it would be fun to see the whole spectrum.

Upscale choice would be a Grand Seiko. They have a nice GMT.

+1 on the Grand Seiko's, and if you want super accuracy go for a Spring Drive.

It doesn’t do the day you asked for but I think it ticks all the other boxes.

I don’t wear mine often but when I do, I really do have a soft spot for it.

I did actually go through a phase in 2016 of wearing it virtually all summer as my daily.

Its very classic and beautifully finished.

JLC master ultra thin moonphase

I was going to post the master Calendar but it’s 38mm 🙁

Here's left field:

All you have to do now is find one

Edit: lowers head and exits, stage left, mumbling .... "must read the question ... must read the question ... "

You want real upscale ?
How about a Lange 1 Daymatic ?
I love the blue but there are light dials available...

I can highly recommend a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar. Comes in 37-39mm depending on which model you get, has day, date, month and moon phase and superb finishing.

😁 Don’t worry, you weren’t the only one.

Beautiful watches posted, but unfortunately not many hit the conditions

No mention of a movement requirement, so I'd throw in a Timex Weekender Cream Dial on a brown nato. Doesn't have your specified date, but other than that it checks everything else on your list with the benefit of costing <$80.

I have one of these alongside a Rolex Milgauss, Omega SMP & Speedmaster etc and it still gets wrist time. Just so lovely, simple & clean. Plus I can come back to it after a month and it is still running and accurate.... (which makes me question my watch movement obsession).

(Photo is scraped from the net, as am not wearing mine right now)

If you're open to vintage, you'll find some lovely oversized triple calendars between 36mm-38mm from a variety of brands.

37 mm and round.
Only 2 problems with this gem:
1.) Try and find one
2.) Forget the budget
