Just done a deal on my first ever speedy (145.022-69) which isn’t on an original strap so looking for ideas as to what to go for. Possibly thinking leather.
Interested to see what other members are rocking there Speedys on??????

I feel like a premoon fits perfectly either on a 1039 or a brown leather strap, preferably a suede one :)

No need to bother with technicalities like that when you're wearing God's Watch! You're dealing with the same principle that the Rolex fan boys adhere to with their Submariners and black & grey NATO straps (ala James Bond): No matter how silly it looks having that gap which shows the spring bars, it looks great!

Money doesn't grow on trees around here Ben I'm doing the best I can! But even on the straight lug's, there's still a gap. I think the JB's are 17-18mm or so at their widest, so they were never really a perfect fit. But that's some of the charm... and none of it matters when you're squinting your eyes and pretending you're an astronaut anyways.;)

But.... but..... when you're doing your "low gravity moon surface hop / walking", wouldn't the sliding back & forth damage the insides of the lugs?

A very inexpensive strap from Amazon.
I like that the stitching accentuates the lume.

Get a good NASA velcro strap you will never want anything else after you've worn one.

Taken when the strap was brand new.

It's three years old now. Still just as sturdy as ever and very comfortable.
