    Hello OF folk!

I have a small problem with my watch. The bracelet of my connie is just a tad bit too short. Cant lock it on my wrist comfortably.

What would you do? get a nice leather strap or find an extension for the bracelet?
Any good recommendations for color or model?

    PS.
Post pictures of your favourite connie and strap combinations!

It is fully adjusted (pins in the far right and left holes).

Thank you, didnt know there was a dedicated show your connie thread. Will do some research now!

Don’t do anything to the dial - it’s more likely to do harm than good.

I agree with leaving the dial alone. As to length I would add more BOR links or a buckle extension till you find links.

The gold links pop up on eBay periodically. You can also hunt for a broken bracelet or parts bracelet and as long as it has the links with the holes in the end, you can steal the links off that.

I actually like seeing color paired with these watches. Although a classic combo, I find the brown or black smooth leather so boring sometimes. Watchgecko sells a line of suede straps that are lovely and go well with vintage watches. The green, blue or chocolate would look awesome on a gold connie and dress it down a notch. I have 3 different colors and love them.

Whatever you do, a nato and a bund strap are definitely no-no!

Went to see my watch maker after work today and he told me that the watch probably didn't come with this bracelet as it sits bit loose. If I remember right these came with a black alligator strap with no padding, and the bracelets were sold with extra cost so nobody really bought them.
    but what do I know.

I think I'm going to take the bracelet off and start fishing for some extra links.
Meanwhile I will get a nice brown or black gator strap from Hirsch and order original 18k buckle for it

    Your watch looks great sir!
Personally I'm not a fan of the python straps because they remind me of crocodile Dundee!:D

nonetheless, that strap suits your watch great

But perhaps yours would work better with something brown, since it doesn't have any black on the dial?

No, my point was that a black strap works with my watch especially well because of the black onyx markers on the dial. Black would work with yours as well, but it wouldn't have the same effect - and as a general rule, gold works pretty well with dark brown imho. Both are of course rather conservative choices, but with your watch I'd go with dark brown.

Those BOR bracelets are often a bit loose on the watch. As for a strap, personally I think tan leather goes well with gold. Is the watch 18K or gold cap? An 18K buckle rather demands an 18K watch....

    -solid gold

-i have seen other Connies with the same bracelet and those have had same problem as mine, where the "adapter" doesn't fit tight

-and I agree with you that tan leather goes really well with gold watches. I kind of like green gator straps, but I could not wear this watch to work as it would be tad bit too wild

You will want a brown and a black to change with your belt and shoes!

I agree with you, but I'm too afraid of scratching the dog legs with constant strap changes! good idea for steelies::stirthepot::
