I came across this nice Squale 1521 the other day for a decent price. Bought it kind of on a whim and it arrived today. Really impressive how small and comfortable it wears on the OEM rubber. Plan is to put this piece through its sub sea paces in a few weeks in Cabo on several dives. The Squale 1521-026 runs on a self-winding Swiss ETA 2824-2 auto movement with a nearly 40 hour power reserve. If you're looking for a well built dive piece with a Swiss movement that is lovely to wear and holds its own don't overlook Squale's line. I'll post more pics as this gets some wrist time. Just wanted to share!
My tropic gmt says hello ! Never heard of Squale until I saw this one and am very impressed with the quality. The blue 1521 does have my eye too !
Great writeup on Squale. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/blood-in-the-water-water-in-its-blood-a-brief-history-of-squale They made cases for Blancpain, Heuer, and Doxa in the late 50s.
