This one is marketed as mid-1900s Omega Automatic in an auction house.
Does somebody know what it its in detail and from approximately what period?

First Omega Automatic, 1942-43, cal 28.10 RA.PC, or possibly 30.10

Excellent condition. Beautiful dial IMO. Crown is replaced

Thanks a lot Marturx! The price is very reasonable (at least at the moment) so I think I will go for it :)

The price got over what I was willing to pay. It's a shame, it's a nice watch. Auction ending soon, price now at 360 EUR + auction costs so about 450EUR / ~600 USD. I don't know how much these go for usually, the auction estimate was 300 EUR and I could have paid something up to that.
What is a fair value in your opinion?

I think $600 is low for this watch - worth more due to the condition being nice.

I agree that the condition is very nice :) there is no guarantee about how it works though, so I think I don't really want to chance it too much in this situation where I've already bought watches recently - hobby is getting out of hands. Hmmm. The strap is original also etc. I really want to bid more, but probably I need to know when to fold sometimes as well :D

Ended up at 515 EUR, USD 700. Didn't get it this time, and marturx was right the price didn't stay as cheap as it was originally - was auctioned for over a week and all the big action happened during the last hour - like usual - the guy who outbid me a few times actually didn't win and some dark horse bidder number 7 got it :)

The auction house was quite low on their estimate.
