That would make a mice sundial. Not so hot for a watch dial though.

My best guess is it is a representation of Shiva. The writing seems to be Urdu, but I am no expert.

I think the writing is ancient Thai language. Is it fake dial?

As blasphemous as it might be, I kind of like it. Maybe some kind of coin faced watch and affront to coin and watch collectors alike?

Sure that must be a Brahma Bull, sacred, no Hindu would likely sell one of these.

I have a couple old medals that I would be interested in turning into watch dials for a basic 2824-project, -but the two watchmakers I have talked to are pretty sceptical, thickness is an issue they say, the dials need to come down to 0,5mm thickness or so... ? ...but how does that work on the bull dial above, there seems to be more than 0,5mm of highs/lows?? are the hand/movement fittings extra long???

I dont think its the same, this has darker text area, the other had some spots not seen on this one. I thought the other one was an ok deal, so I had some hopes for this one, but its over my valuation already... italians... :)

If there are two of them, maybe the story is not so phoney. Of course, a coin would come with a government agency inscription...

I believe this is the same old bull, cleaned up a bit. Note the identical crack to the left of the character near 12 o'clock that looks a bit like a 'W'.
I think the original seller photoshopped out the case back numbers.

I'm inclined to agree with you, and award the Italian seller the Pulitzer prize for fiction. I think it's quite an inspired little story, actually, and we'll see how profitable.
