This my most memorable watch. My parents bought me this watch when I graduated from college in 1966. I had the watch reconditioned at Omega a few years ago. The face is the same except where it says Geneve it read Automatic. Priceless, as my parents are no longer with me.

Bought in Paris a few years back on a business / holiday three week stay. The wife joined me mid way. This is the only watch my wife ever gave me permission to buy. She still needles me about the outlay but I’d never sell it.

Now that's one beautiful and memorable watch. I wouldn't sell this watch either -- it truly is priceless.

IMG_3009.JPG I have to say this one will stay high on the list. I bought this for myself once leaving my undergrad in 2007. I went in for something on lines of citizen/seiko and came out with something a bit different. The green got me. It has been along many great adventures, diving, flying, climbing, hiking, biking, showered with, I was married with, bought two houses with and hopefully many more great times.

Once the sale was complete, I asked the sales guy "Holy crap, what did I just do". He asked if I regretted buying it, I said nope. Just pure excitement.

I have so many “memorable” watches, it is hard to settle on one. But this one comes close. This is my 53 year old Bulova Accutron 214 which my late father gave me in 1964. Looks and runs almost like new. It is on its third index wheel, third circuit, second pawl spring assembly, second tuning fork, second dial, and umpteen crystals and gaskets. I wore it on our wedding day almost 52 years ago.

It is a keeper because it is so classic. Hypothetically, if you do lost interest, put it away for a few years and take it out again. I think rolexes do age very well ;)

Memorable since it was my first watch - aged about 7 years. It was a prized possession, and probably set the stage for my current addiction!

My most memorable watch is my Seiko 6309-7049 that I purchased new in 1987 at the NAS Whiting Field Navy Exchange during Navy primary pilot training in the T-34C. It was my first dedicated "flying watch" and I continue to fly with it today...

The AP 15300 blue dial i was wearing when my daughter was born. Before she was born i liked the watch, but not more then that. Now that i was wearing it on that special day, it means the world to me :)

On this pic, she is about “10 minutes old”

Great story! I am pleased to see that you paid $140 even though the watch's list price was at $195. You go! Great bargain! ;) Thank you for doing such a worthy job for our country.

My father let me pick out a watch once I learned how to effectively read time on our grandfather clock with Roman numerals (I was probably around 7 yrs old). We went to a drugstore and I chose a Timex with stick markers. I thought it looked so grown-up and I didn’t need to see the numerals...wanted to be just like my dad.

I held on to it for many years until I turned into a teenager and got a plastic fluorescent green Swatch abomination as they were “in style”.

My father is gone, rip, and so is my first real watch. I wish I still had him and that Timex around.

I like to think my most memorable watch is yet to come...

Yeah I know total cop out on the question but it’s like trying to pick your most memorable child....

My grandfather’s Darwil from the late 60s. My grandma found it in a dresser a few years back when I told her that I collect vintage watches.
