Blancpain Fifty Fathoms ref 5015 has 120 hr./5 day power reserve, and maintains good accuracy.

Wore it in a 3 watch rotation in March while traveling, and at the end of 2 1/2 weeks it gained 4 seconds over the period.

I have a Casio G shock that goes on light charge.... forever. Accurate on satellite time to the millisecond.... you can dive and run and anything with it. Very legible.

    I actually love that watch......

Well I revived this thread as I still remain impressed with power reserves. I guess the Rado captain cook is now the watch I own with the longest power reserve. 80hrs and it actually hits that. I have a couple seikos that claim to be 70hrs, I don’t think they actually hit that but maybe they need a service. But three days seems to be pretty good for me. I don’t have 100’s of watches nor do I have many of great value just ones i like. This is “just” an ETA movement. I don’t say that belittling anything just saying it’s not a fancy in house movement actually when I read up on this watch I did read about the movement and most of what I read sounded good but I’m not so sure of watch reviews so many are advertisements. I’ll post the write up on the movement sometime perhaps. Those week long or 8-9 day power reserves gotta be great to have, perhaps someday I will surpass 80hrs but for now I am well pleased with a watch that runs this long. Cool stuff. Hats off to the guys that put this together. In closing very accurate as well although tbh I haven’t timed it to the second just keeps right up with my cell phone.
Bought it used as well the guy just kinda lost interest in it so not much use.

I don't believe there's a watch out there that beats the Cap' in value, craftsmanship and legacy. AND, it's damn good looking too.

Ya I’d definitely recommend it. It’s not a watch you buy thinking “I’ll sell it for a lot more in five years.” You buy it because you like it. I saw a few for sale here that really caught my eye and I just kind of stumbled across this one and certainly no regrets. Looks great on leather as well but we are having a heat wave so the NATO is working out well

About 70 hours... which I really leverage on weekends.... and have come to somewhat dislike watches that do not have a minimum of 60hours!

60 winds = 60 hour power reserve on my new Cal.3861 Speedy. It did take a couple of days to loosen it up.
Starting with 40 then 50 then 60 winds then bingo, smooth and easy :)

72 hour Daytona, the convenience in being able to take it off on a Friday night after work and put it back on Monday morning without needing a winder is a really great feature!

    If I am being sneaky, 6 months....with a solar :D

Mechanical I believe my ~70 hour Seiko SPB has the longest PR.

Over 72 hours on a Seiko 9R Spring Drive movement with an error of <1 second. And at least two years on a fully wound Atmos clock when the winding mechanism (normally a bellows failure) ceases to work after a few decades of use. Mine is still good after 60 years of use.

More than 6 months with my mechanical quartz hybrid Seiko Kinetic..... then they came out with the spring drive at 50 to 100 times the cost and a reserve of 72 hours! that's progress for you. Mind you I would probably opt for the spring drive chrono.....if I had the money and no wife.

Dang. I was gonna say that. I have a swatch that has lasted nearly 7 years. It's gotta run down soon.

I’m puzzled - nothing unusual there - but how do you check the power reserve on an automatic?

I can see that if you have a manual wind watch, you wind it fully, check the time and subtract that from the time it stops but, with an automatic, how do you tell when it’s fully wound in the first place?

And with some automatics, particularly those that don’t wind, or have a hidden crown - what then?

Sure, if you can not wind your automatic to ensure it is at full wind, then you would either put it down after an active day, ASSUMING it is fully wound, OR you could put it on a watch winder for a while before you put it down and see how long before it stops.
