Hello, so i got an offer to buy this watch, The speedy tuesday for a good price, i think (significantly lower than chrono24).

The price is USD 6,333 and its fullset.

My question is this a good price to buy or should i wait more until the price drops lower? What is a good price for this?
Thanks

Why don’t you check sold prices on eBay? This will tell you how much they are selling for.

I once turned down this watch when the seller was asking £3900

I thought it was probably a little over-priced. I wasn't keen on the way the sub dial hands were "lost" against the dial. There were some dings on the bezel surround, which I was sure would be expensive to replace. Finally, it didn't have its original box. Yeah ... that was another good pass 🤦

As you might guess from my avatar, I might not be entirely unbiased; but I'd say it is a very nice price to buy at. This of course assuming it is in a good condition, and gently worn, if at all.

Approach with extreme caution and make sure it's not a scam. Avoid wire transfer simply because of the price difference. Current market value is around $2000-4000 more than the price you were given.

market maybe $1000 to $2000 higher if you look at sold listings on ebay and watchrecon. ask price may be $4k higher, but doubt any sell higher than $9k.

It’s in the possible scam area of price.... I’d expect to pay 8.5-9k for full unworn set.

So this is the info i got from my chrono24.

I think the previous offer i got is very good compare to this (if the chrono24 info is accurate).

But to be honest im short USD 1,500, i might have to sell my omega teutonic which i love and there is this need (want) for a dresswatch in my collection.

So im in a stalemate, i’ll update whether i decided to purchase this or go with a dresswatch first.

C’est la vie, so many good watches and just not enough money to buy them all.

Anyone with a genuine speedy Tuesday knows it’s value

Anything that is undervalued should be approached with a bit of care and du diligence. In those rare cases where families are selling possessions or someone needs the cash quick - you may get a bargain otherwise you are being scammed

Unless you are inclined to collect vintage speedy, and prefer to wear recent models, this ST could be well fit for you at that price point. 😉
