Looking to add to my collection. Want to know if anyone has any suggestions of great watches for around $1000USD? Really would love some input! Thank you,
This question gets asked hourly in the WUS public forum, and for some reason the two most common answers are Grand Seiko and Speedmaster Pro.
For vintage, if you might looking for, I would suggest military watches. May be starting at one of dirty dozen. It will be good choice.
I picked this up for 1.2k, brand new ... It was just what I needed (dive watch that works and is built like a tank )
I want a new watch. Probably Omega but many others brands I could chose from. I would want a more dressy watch though
Personally under 1000 I'd look at Seiko or Victorinox. You can't go wrong. They have automatics that are bullet proof in his range. Then there is the GShock. Lots of options there.
I didn't mean 100% new straight out of the box but I just don't like the small sizes of vintage watches. But maybe one from the 2000s or a big vintage watch
What are your needs? Sport / Dress / all round? Because whenever you buy used you'd better make sure it's well maintained and water tight.
Hamilton Jazzmaster slim H38655785 can be had GM for under $650 usd. Nice, with an ETA 2895-2. Dark enough to be dressy, steel with date so laid back as well...43mm, so a bit big for my taste, but you might like it. Photo link attached. https://goo.gl/images/3LVmiu
Christopher Ward. Either the C5 (one looks like the IWC Portofino, the other like the IWC Spitfire Mark XVI) or the Speedhawk.
