Hey guys, newbie to the vintage game. Just wondering, what is the best source to purchase vintage Omega's? Ebay, the forums, all of the above? My fear is there are many fakes/frankenwatches out there. Just looking for any and all advice.

Buy the seller is usually a good start. Whether it's here on OF, or any other online venue.

when you have done your homework about the special watch that you are after it does not really matter where you buy if the price is good. Even the most serious dealers and auctions houses sell sometime scrap without knowing (?) it. At least you will not be scammed there ...

Omega Forums....ask and ye shall receive. Also remember the golden rule. Do your research, ask informed questions and buy the seller.

    There're some well-known reliable dealers out there (e.g. db1983 in Switzerland )

I think the question should really be, what is the best way to buy a vintage Omega? To which the answer is, research, research, research. Then patience, patience, patience. After that, a bit more research. It's hard work, but there is no short cut.
