Got one sitting around, and no 2915 to go on.

The one on ebay appears to be newly produced replacement.

I should clarify, what is the value of an old original 2915 hand.

If it's a replacement hand it can never be "original". It can be an authentic vintage hand, but if it isn't the exact hand that came on the watch from the factory it isn't "original". To my way of thinking, once it's replaced there's no difference between a modern factory replacement and a 40 year old replacement if they look identical to what came on the watch in the first place.

It would be very easy to "age" a hand like this to make it look older, so as long as the geometry is the same as the original (length, width, profile, etc.) then it's not much different than a new one.

The white painted hand with lume could also be made to look old, but it would be so easy with a silver hand like this I can't see a premium for it personally. I'm sure some would pay more, but not me personally.

Yep, seen it done on both metal and painted hands. Even the lume can be stained with coffee or tea to match any existing lume on the dial or other hands.

I've heard of various methods.....heat, acid, leaving it out over the winter, etc.

(that last one is a joke, people)

Look at a new one, then look at an old one, and it will become clear what is needed to make it look old...

I know I am tilting at windmills but....

For parts such as a hand, and most others, there is absolutely no way to know with certainty if said part came installed from the factory decades ago, so "original" is a near worthless description.

The best that can be said is that a part is "correct", and even then there are areas of gray.
