Hi OF
I’m looking for a daily use watch. To wear a collectible watch with nice condition during work (I’m engineer and mostly in front of pc but also love to put hands on tools) seems a bit risky. For this reason I’m not so fixed on perfect condition

im in love with the SS pie pan Connie’s 14393 or 168005 with golden markers and arms. It seems, that this type is more often to find in US. Am I Right?
In Europe they show up quite rare…
I found this one. Quite polished on the lugs, case back ok, dial with clear visible patina, nice onyx markers and including bor for 1850 €

What are your thoughts to the hole package ?

much overpriced? A good one for my purpose? Only need patience for a better one? Dial can be refinished?

like always: thx for your great help and sharing of knowledge!

Case is overpolished, dial shows significant spotting and you would have to factor in the cost of a movement service. Not a good value for the price. I would keep looking.

Ya I’m far from an expert on these but like you I like them a lot I think you can find better. They pop up here for sale as well. I voluntarily repaired the washing machine at work today which required minor tool use hex, screwdrivers and pliers Did so with a decent watch on and I picked up no new marks but generally I do change to a Vostok for such things. Good luck on your search.

Hard pass for that money. With some patience, a nice 168.005 can be picked up for 500€ less than that. Emphasis on nice, which this one isn’t anymore.

Don't waste a beautiful patina I guess 😁

135.041 is a good starter to put tools on, all kinds of spares and replacements

If one is hunting solely from online auction/forum, 500eur for a nice pie-pan is really hard to come by. I would be more worried that it could be a scam..
A dome dial could fit that range thou

Seems like we're in the market for the same type of watch 😀. I had seen this one as well, from a Dutch seller if not mistaken. Probably you could negotiate it down to ±1500-1600 but the marks would annoy me. If it includes a BoR bracelet, I would be ok paying 1600-1700 EUR but the dial then needs to be superclean. And those have come by over the last year.
