Hi Mr C Not heard or seen anything....would need to be an expensive Watch to make it really worthwhile though ? Best - Neil
I heard there was life on Mars, but no one has produced a photo yet. Same for fake Omega archive documents, though in this day and age it would probably not be a difficult or expensive task. If I think about it, surprised no one has tried it yet. After all you only have to fool one buyer, and that isn’t a very high bar.
ahha interesting ... put some gas to the fire ... names facts ... i have also heard they stopped making panda dials cuz panda skin is super expensive
If they can fake a box or a watch then an extract couldn't be that difficult... That being said I've never heard of such a thing.
March 32 that must have been the Friday that all the prototype models were allowed to be taken home by the staff.
in 1954 the usa switched from inchday and yardmonth to gregorian calendar so march needed to be extended by 3 days
There are two colors of foil embossing on the extract that would be hard to replicate on that exact paper stock, but for $150 it would be nice to have a watermark.
One can always contact Omega and double check if the infos they have for a serial are similar to those on the archives provided. Never better served than by yourself
In the vintage watch collecting game, I have found that you need a sense of humour to survive. If they can forge watches, they sure as hell can and will forge supporting documents Buy the seller, is the phrase to live by (unless you are one of the very few (maybe 1%?) who truely are world experts I know we all like to think we are the worlds greatest lover, or as good as F1 drivers, but its best to know your limits when making expensive watch purchases
