This was my grandfather's watch. My grandmother bought it for him in 1964 and he wore it until he passed last year. As it is in the States and I am in Asia, I am asking for help from you mob to help identify it. The dial is throwing me off, though it is original. I've never seen Swiss before without Made or lume indication. There is a black smudge there that I thought about removing, but it is has been on there as long as I can remember and has since become part of the watch for me. I believe it has a 550 movement, though I won't be able to confirm until I can open it up next week. The band is, of course, not original and I've already procured a replacement. Value and originality mean little to me on this one, as I'll never let it go, but I am curious what it could be.
One of many US cased Omegas which do not necessarily have a Swiss made counterpart. Here is one nearly identical to yours currently on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MENS-1964-O...288217849?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item19e94b70f9Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
