·It's a good theory but not that case. As I said above, it's an expensive way to fake a watch and my guess is that a hobbyist watchmaker was having some fun with leftover parts.
Yup- I agree. Probably someone's cobbled up project watch for fun.
I made that post in haste and did more googling later, did not find a Deville with that case at all. Only the redial followed that Deville pattern, hence my immediate guess. But then the case even doesn't look like a 321 straight lug case so it really indeed is a mystery what the heck that is!
