What happens to the old speedmaster ref when the new ref is released.

I'm really close to purchasing a new speedmaster professional from an AD but am wondering if the price will be affected by the release of the new ref and box. would anybody know if the AD would be prepared to discount the older watch just to shift them before the new stock arrived?

    cheers

The willingness to discount will vary by AD, so yours may or may not offer one on the "old" reference.

The only way to know is to ask. :)

Ready to buy if the right price is negotiated. ;) There's nothing a merchant hates more than haggling with somebody who doesn't have any intention of making a purchase.

Also, is the old reference still available or is it discontinued? Desirability and availability are two factors that could either raise the price (if highly sought after) or save you hundreds (if it's old stock the AD wants to move).
