This chronograph looks original to my non-Omega eye but for the fact that someone whited out 'Omega' and wrote in arabic over it. Obviously not a factory effort. What's the story? Anyone read Arabic? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-Vintag...h-2466-w-ARABIC-WRITING-cal-321-/401299511864Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Ask and you shall receive it's the name of a Saudi Prince Abdullah Bin Musead Wiki link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdullah_bin_Musa'ed_bin_Abdulaziz_Al_Saud
It was common in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf to give watches marked with a royal crest, portrait, or signature as gifts. This one looks a bit different though, as normally (I think) the dials for these gift watches were ordered from the manufacturer, so you would not expect to see the original logo whited out. Anyway, here is an Omani example:
The OP watch looks rather more like DIY 'homage' than a gift There is no way a Saudi prince would give this a gift Also there is an era discrepancy going on The named prince is unlikely to have been born when the watch was made
