Looks like a hot mess to me.

€5500 sounds about right..... for needed parts and repair.

What? That’s a very desirable “Swamp” dial. Much more coveted than the rare “spider dial” or “starry night” dial damage, I mean patina.

Just bought my first vintage speedy. Another -71. Unfortunately mine doesn’t look anything like that! Didn’t realize this is what we are going for. ;):D

Someone confused Speedmaster with Seamaster and took it for a couple of 100m dives back in '71. It has been sitting in a drawer ever since, and the sea water has converted all the metal in the movement to this lovely patina.

Hello, it's mine, to be totally clear.
Original 71 watch. barn find, ou should s say swamp find. The mouvement was partially damaged and all the damaged parts were replaced by a MK2 donor except the serial number that was saved. The bezel is original and fading to blue.
The look of this speedy is rather "special", matter of taste. It was not baked. the case is rather crisp and unpolished.
As for the price. I will accept less but you know how ebay is, costs + paypal... etc. more than 10%

    cheers guys.
