What era is this Accutron Box from?

An ebay seller included this box with a 1973 Accutron I bought, but I suspect it is from a later era, maybe the 1980s. I am not really a box collector, and I am trying to decide if it is worth the effort of finding it a new home. It seems cheap, small and plastic; like something a drug store watch would come in. I am tempted to trash it. What do you all think?
