    Thinking of putting in a bid on one of these but tbh i kinda like the cosmic what does the forum think, any advice would be great. My first adventure into a quality watch.

    Both are really expensive and not really worth it.

    You need to narrow down to some specifics - movement type, case size, model name, budget etc. You can get far better Omegas for the same price, and it can be a good idea to look through the sales forums here (and private sales) for reputable options.

    thanks probably good advice since i know nothing about watches tbh. i've just always loved the look of a chunky Omega. The watches for sale on here always seem so expensive.

    It might seem that way but when you learn more about specific models and their nuances, then you'd realise the best place to buy is here.

    Geneves are the entry level models for omega and it will be the cheapest to start (except for oversized). However, I t is not the most collectible so you wouldn't see that many on sale here. The watches that collectors sell here are usually more collectible and hence, the higher price tag but it is usually cheaper than buying from a vintage dealer.

    If you like chunky watches, Speedmaster and seamaster 300 are the chunkier models.
