Nice one if you don't mind the inscription. Saw it this morning. Price is alright given that it comes with bracelet. Speedmaster101 price chart is head only. It will probably go quick.

It's actually been around for a while. Not necessarily a bad thing and Michael seems to be a good guy. Wonderful bezel :)

    Beautiful example.
I bring it up as I didn't see it in the examples shown in the MWO, but have now seen that the B1 bezel with diagonal 70 and DoN was in production and fitted in some examples to the 145.022-68 and -69

    Always something to learn...

Which is AUD8,700 - phewey!!!! And for an Aussie buyer that will mean at least another $1400 in duties and shipping I guess.

The DON bezel was found on the 145.022-69 until around the 30.5xx.xxx serial range, then there was a small period when it overlapped with the DNN bezel. This is the six month or so period where the 220 bezel appears, then the DNN bezel takes over completely after that until around 1990.

Bezel sure looks great. I'm sure this one will find a loving owner.

Perhaps it's just me, but I have no problem with inscribed watches. Hardly ever see the back anyway :p

My 145.022-69 caseback is inscribed as well. "H.ZEITLER". Sounds German to me but it doesnt bother me at all.

I have an inscription on my A & F Solarlunar and I rareky give it a second thought but when I do it just reminds me of the the original owner's amazing life story. Just a part of the provenance for me.

Unfortately, a houseofnames.com entry is a load of bollocks that intersperses bits of national history with outright lies about the family name in order to sell mugs and t-shirts with made-up crests. But yeah, it's an (Austrian-)German name

Hilarious isn't it! A true load of bollocks as you say.
