I am always looking for tri-compax and triple dates and now this piece appears.
Worth it?

what a terrible, terrible, terrible, and really awful watch. Not cool on the sellers part.....

 

They must have been hard times for UG if they opted for a landeron movement. Must have been a few months of hardship following WWII. Somehow it does not stack up though ....

I gotta say I love threads like this. It just shows us veterans how easy it is for the n00bs to have their money separated from their wallets so they won't have any funds left when a good specimen comes along. I am no longer endorsing "ask before you buy" because (a) half or more n00bs don't anyway and (b) that policy removes a great deal of grist for the mill.

In conclusion, thank you n00bs for buying up all the slag while we snatch the precious metals.

ps - next comes snagging the good watches you Clevons post out from under you. Ethics schmethics, I want them all to myself so I can sell them for profit.

Dear @aw5588 ... If you indeed own a copy of Sala and have spent any time in its pages, you would instantly know that this is not a UG, since you are “always looking for Tri-Compax” btw. Therefore I defer to and applaud the razzing you have received.

Aww now this is perfectly wearable, as long as you get it for a couple bills, and then take out the dial and remove the "Universal Geneve" from it.
