Good move to ask questions before you buy. Saved me from a few purchases that I would have regretted afterwards.

I think the font is correct. I can hardly imagine someone refinishing the text without touching the rest of the dial. And here we come to the main issue in my opinion. Do you really like the blisters on the dial? They would totally kill it for me. I consider it damaged. If you stick around and check the Private Sales Forum regularly, I'm pretty sure you'll find a way better example for the same price or at a slight premium.

Few more $$ you will get a pristine dial one.

Always remember that a blister dial is going to keep blistering.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing about redoing the text and not the dial. Looking at other examples, I think I've gotten the impression that the top of the S is smaller than the bottom because I've been looking at a lot of pics where the top is angled away from the camera. I get your point about the blisters.
