I am pretty much blind on early Seamaster especially 2913. What do you think about this one....... This is the only picture available
Based on this one picture it does look legit. Do only thing that stand out to me is the bezel insert, the numerals are slightly different in shape then what I think is typically see. If you look at examples of originals and compare the "1" and the "3" I think you will see what I mean. These inserts were fragile and so it is not uncommon to see a repaired version. I think given the rarity of examples in perfect original condition, having a repaired bezel insert is not a major issue. My 2c
if the dial wasn't relumed or messed with I would be slightly interested just cause it's a 2913. The bezel can be redone but the dial ugh. There must be moisture damage inside is my guess.
if the scratches are on the dial in an attempt to remove the old lume with a sharp instrument, very bad. the dial colour would not concern me; looks like a brownish/"tropical" colour and if even, quite nice. need a dial close up..... kind regards. achim
Just visit the seller to see it my self. The dial indeed is in bad shape. A careless watchmaker took initiative by cleaning dial, remove old radium marker and relume it, ruining the whole dial. Probably expecting additional USD 20-30 more fee. The hands are rusty so I guess water or moisture indeed entering the dial chamber. No rust in case and movement so I guess it did not go there. The bezel is not original as expected, the case is in not too bad shape, the 501 movement is in OK condition. It is offered at attractive price, but I don't have the heart for a project watch right now, so I passed.
