Hi folks

This circa 1967 Speedmaster just popped up in a shop near me, with an asking price of $8850AUD ($5725USD). I had been saving for an Explorer, but now this has me thinking. Could you please advise what you think of its condition? Many thanks in advance!

Wrong bezel, major lume loss. Not very attractive to look at.

Yes, I agree their photos aren’t good. Doesn’t make it any easier. The one time I bought from them, I went in and took my own (bad) photos for pre-purchase feedback from a Rolex aficionado.

At this price it's a complete no go (for me).
I think this kind of watch must be valued by the price of its constituting parts.

For me, I would say this is "worth" $3,000

If i was in a good mood and knew it would get the extract, then $3500

That dial is only good for re luming.
