What do you think of Christopher Ward?

I own two CW watches that were bought new a couple of years ago. I also bought a strap separately from them. My customer service experience was always excellent. I do like the newer branding, that they initiated when one of the three founders (Chris Ward) left the company 2 or 3 years ago.
My first purchase was the C1 Grand Malvern Moonphase. The detail on the moon's face is quite amazing and I like to big size of the moon. Unfortunately it doesn't get enough wrist time, although I did happen to wear it last weekend.
My second purchase was a Trident GMT, which I use as a travel watch. The finish of this watch is outstanding and I would put it up against any Omega or similar brand. I've actually received more compliments (from watch people and non-watch people alike) then I've received on all my other watches combined. I have the 40mm which was discontinued and got it for 50% off, so was a complete steal IMHO.
I have no idea what the resell values will/would be, but I'm pleased with both my purchases. And if you are patient, then do have sale pricing on occasion to move older items.

In related Christopher Ward news, if anyone's interested in a raffle for a C1 Bel Canto Verde (Green) Limited Edition, I came across the following thread while browsing the CW forum: https://www.christopherwardforum.co...1-bel-canto-verde-limited-edition-t61329.html

The individual raffling the Bel Canto has gotten the assistance of the brand itself, and they've noted entrants are welcome from any country. The proceeds are set to go towards the Royal Berkshire National Health Service Trust.

They are damn good in my opinion, the quality is first class,if you are an X Y Z fan boy and don’t like them ,tough luck,They last as well as anything ,they look as good as most and they wear at least as well as anything 10 times the price.`I have been very impressed with their customer care ,not that I have had any problems ( just asking questions).Their time keeping is solid and they take abuse well.I have used my FGR4 cockpit edition on canoe trips, mountain biking trips and endless walking and camping trips.I don’t baby mynwtches ,they are atool and get used accordingly and the CWs hve proved themselves to be tough reliable and thoroughly well built.

I agree that they are very good watches, look awesome, and great value; I have two CW watches. I'm also fortunate to own some very nice watches, both modern and vintage (Omega, Rolex, Zenith, etc), but my CW Trident GMT is about the only watch that I receive regular compliments on: "Hey nice watch!"

Yep,totally agree,There is quite a lot of brand snobbery in the watch world, some is good, some not so good.I have 3 watches ,an old Pulsar chrono which my daughter bought for me I think it was about £60 back in 2008 and it is still as good as the day I got it,Second was an impulse buy a seiko Sarb019 Alpinist the one with the green dial which I bought ages ago for around £300 and recently found out they are changing hands now for around double that .Then the CW cockpit edition which I got in one of CW end of run sales and paid £500 for it ,I think they were about £1100 or so when they were launched.I am not a collector, but each one has its place ,The Alpinist is a nice slim watch and the dial is stunning ,The CW is just a damned good watch, which like yours gets noticed. The pulsar just never goes wrong.
All the best

Did someone say Bel Canto?

My first CW and a great experience so far.
I 100% almost bought one of these after a few glasses of wine and then remembered my budget. Have been looking at their bronze models though; the Dune has my interest. Considering the Yema bronze gmt also though, or a Baltic.

Don't have one, but they look good. They get some grief for the logo design, but the watches seem pretty solid. Wouldn't mind something from their motorsport collection.

I've picked up my 1st Christopher Ward today and I am quite impressed by it. It's a CW65 Aquitaine GMT Orca.
The clasp in particular is excellent IMO.
The overall fit and finish of the watch is very decent and the lume is excellent.
I traded a Sinn 104 for this and I'm very happy with it.
