It looks a bit polished, but in very good condition. Dial looks original to me. Case stars in great condition. It looks like a great watch. To me the price is on the high side and I doubt the seller will come down much. You may want to look on chrono24...I see several of the same model listed there...might be good for comparison and pricing.

Here is one in yellow gold with price negotiable starting at EUR 2600: https://www.chrono24.com/omega/constellation-pie-pan-168005--id7202764.htm

There’s not much to fault really other than its seen a light polish at some point.
Seems expensive but overall not a bad example.

Very good. Quite sharp (cue for @Peemacgee to show his even sharper one), correct crown and suberb dial.

BTW, the black sticks on the hour markers appear painted, not inlaid. Is this normal?

Yes, it just means that the black markers are painted and not the inlaid onyx variant.

This is actually a very good example. The case is sharp and the dial is pristine. It's also 14k so it's less malleable than the 18k, which is a plus to me since you don't have to be too scared of wearing it often. Would be a good purchase given the right price.

It’s a good looking watch but as others have said significantly overpriced IMHO.
Regarding the painted indices, my first thought was it’s just a very late .005.
But the serial appears to be 24xxxx
On a Constellation of this period I would expect onyx inlays.

Absolutely agree, only provided this link as a comparison. There are a few others also, each with various positives and negatives as well as price points. I think its good to have lots of data to gauge pricing and quality, as well as to determine if anything may look to be unoriginal on the watch. In this case, perhaps the available data suggests to pull the trigger on the ‘bay.

I believe the switch from onyx to painted indexes lies within the 24million range.

Thank you so much everyone. Great Forum and really helpful for someone who does not know a lot. like me. Will try to pull the trigger. But the seller does not respond... hopefully he is real...

I don't wholly agree with that sentiment, but I follow it as a rule of thumb too.

I have seen three individual Constellations - all yellow gold cap, all cal. 564, all sold in different locations in Denmark, none of them tarted up for sale, all with similar aging of dial/hands/case/movement - in the 26 mil serial range all three within 70 numbers of each other with onyx marker and black inlay in the hands...
