    Hello to everyone,

I've been looking for a 1675 for a long time but I'm not able to drop 10 grand on one...
I've seen an ad for this which has been serviced in 2016 (receipt and guarantee), the guy told me it's 100% original.
Serial is around 5,5million and should be 1979.
The dial looks good to me and the case as well, even if I believe it must have been polished once.

Do any of you see a problem with this one ? The bright white lume is a bit bizarre and date wheel is very white as well but I'm not an expert.
    Thanks guys!

    Very nice looking watch.
Check the service receipt and see if dial/hands were replaced, see if they light up when exposed to light. May be lumi replacement dial and hands. Insert and based on your comment, most likely the date wheel as well.
Don't worry about the "been polished once bit"... It's been polished but it is very beefy.

Thanks a lot for the response! Yes the case looks good, the dial and hands seem correct but it's bizarre they're so new looking. I would have preferred more patinaed lume, but the price is honest so I can't ask for the world either...
He told me they're correct, I've asked if they're original to the watch, let's see what the guy says

A very good recommendation indeed, but doesn't the "T < 25" on the dial indicate tritium? Plus I think Rolex tries to preserve the original dial if they can. Nonetheless, still try the light and glow test to make sure.

I second the very nice-looking watch part. It is gorgeous with sharp edges and well-preserved colors. Looks like a win if everything internally checks out. Good find!

Personally i don´t like it... looks "strange" to my eyes, the dial doesn't look T < 25 that is for sure...

There was some service dials that on the 98/99 was luminova but was indicate still T < 25

Like ffej4 said, the glow test and you will be sure

@brunik thanks for the info, I did not know that about Rolex dials. I agree that the lume plots look way too fresh to be tritium from 1979... But who knows. @MaiLollo do the light test and let us know the results. If it glows, it's definitely a service dial.

Rolex scraped tritium and replaced with lumi...this appears to be one of those dials. You will notice that the lume application is domed and perfect...and will glow like a torch.

Nice looking watch, but a lumi dial crushes it.

The date wheel should feature open 6 and 9s.

There are three 1675 service dials, one being luminova and the other tritium, even though they read T<25..
Just expose to light and you will know..

Thanks for your replies guys. I asked him about all of this but it sold... I'm going to study a bit more in order to be quick next time one pops up. But I'm still not sure the lume was tritium, so I would not have got it anyways.
Thanks again, I'm still a noob to the GMT game!

@watchknut I had no idea Rolex scrapes lume plots and reapplies during services. Does Omega do this as well?

It is not done at service. From what I was told, when Rolex went from tritium to lumi, they scraped all of their tritium dials and applied lumi...otherwise they would have had to scrap all of the service dials.

That is why you have a T<25 dial with lumi.

Looks like a luminova service dial. Insert is a service as well. Probably a good idea to wait for a 1675 with a nice clean original tritium dial.

Agreed, service dial and service hands!
