Seller is hedging as to whether this is a redial. He says that the watchmaker who recently serviced the watch doesn't think so. Looks too pristine to me for a 61 year old watch unless it has been stored in a vacuum all these years.

I thought this reference had numeric indices at 12, 3, 6 and 9, a faceted relief dial, and radium lume, so unless this is a dial variation that I’ve never seen ... ?

Based on that one photo, the dial looks ok to me. I like the alpha hands, but there seems to be some missing lume in the minute hand. I'd like a better look at the lugs.

Well, some missing lume wouldn’t surprise me for a 61 year old watch. I’ll see if I can get some additional photos.

If it is original it is in impeccable condition. Keen to see some more pics if you get them!

Wont be from 1958 with that case number, the 5 digit system wasn't introduced until late 1959 I believe and phased out again by 1962.

Looks good to me. Case looks overpolished and rounded though which would detract me from going for it.

Correct. I checked the Omega website. This model was introduced in 1959, so seller is a year off. Not a deal breaker in and of itself. Caliber 285.
