I purchased this watch new in the summer of '65 or '66. The watch was worn for dress mostly for several years then put in a drawer. It is all original and was cleaned once many years ago. It needs cleaning now. The back is glass. Not sure what I want to do with it. If it has real value I will probably sell it. Might want to have it cleaned and pass along to a grandson? Any comments would be appreciated. Also, any recommendations regarding where and how to sell it would be appreciated. Thank you.
We really need to see the inside of the case back. Great picks but missing they key one. Edit Wait does that have an almost edge to edge clear case back on it?
^^^Lightning... Well, that sure is interesting, though. You might have been a pioneer in a contemporary fad.
Display casebacks (just a crystal) were used in that era so that Omega representatives could show clients the internals of the watch. It's unusual to see one purchased from new though.
It seems my memory isn't as clear as that caseback. https://omegaforums.net/threads/dis...n-vintage-display-back-kleerback-omegas.1189/
The back of the watch is clear glass/crystal. It is self winding. It has the Omega symbol and 560 below. It also says seventeen jewels. The band is 14K goldfill.
It's a neat collectible. I would hang on to it. If you take the serial number off the movement and email Omega. You might be able to find out how many were produced DON
