So I just picked this up in an auction, and waiting to get it in my hands. I think its a 321 Seamaster from the 50'-60's- I have grown a liking to vintage Seamaster chronos. Not much information online going by the pictures, hopefully someone has a reference. I hope it's not a redial, but I'd be glad to wear it either way - at least until I find one in better shape.

I’m going to go with chance favored the bold on this one.

If you're going to have it serviced to wear, you might as well open it up now and see what's inside (I'd expect a 321, as the only 320 that I recall seeing had 2 sub-dials). But it looks genuine to me, and too good to be a redial. I certainly wouldn't wind it without knowing if it needs a service, since parts for it will be hard to find.

Interesting catch! I like the 321 seamasters. Initial thought was ck2907, but the lugs don’t fit the style, the ck2907 has more rounded lugs. The hands definitely fit the era of ck/ko2907, so I‘d go with mid-late 50‘s.

I hate to ask, but, where is he Tachymeter scale on the dial? I would expect it to be on there.

Take a look at this great thread, some very nice 321‘s seamasters in there and maybe more information for you.

Were those 34mm? I can't imagine trying to accurately use a chrono on a 34mm dial. People in the good 'ole days had great eyesight. I guess they didn't look at computers all day.

Agree re: the Tachy scale. And I am no expert, but I don't like the way the sub-dials eat the 3,6, and 9 markers.

I can't be sure but I don't think these all had tachy scales. Some just had minute markers like the Camaros.

The pictures pretty poor but I'll go with original.

True, but then I would prefer an additional DeVille on the dial.

    Or just plain Omega.

But everything was possible back then, so I wouldn’t rule out that it‘s an original dial. My comments above are just what I observed over the past years with 321 seamasters, majority of them having some sort of scale. A quick glance into AJTT, shows a 105.004 321 Chrono with Seamasters on the dial and without a Tachyscale.

It's 35.5mm. I have an 861 Seamaster which I love to bits. It being mostly dial, 19mm lugs and those big pushers make it visually larger than it is

I think it's really appealing. I especially like the way the alpha hand theme was followed through all the way to the small sub-dial hands.

Well its arrived! Looks like it all panned out!

Hopefully a little polywatch will clear up the dial a bit more..

I love it. Been wanting one of these but can never seem to find one in decent, original condition. Nice score.
