What could cause a cosmic moon phase dial to flake near the logo?

Hey guys,

This is the second time I have seen an Omega cosmic dial with flaking paint near the logo.

Ebay: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Rare-Vintag...date-dial-cal-381-27DLPC-31-5mm-/174585430142

I also own one myself, I'm not certain the one above is genuine but I'm sure mine is. What connects the two however is where the paint has flaked!

Could there be a reason for flaking in this very particular location? Or could it be an indication of some kind of foul play?

Here's my one by the way:

Would love to hear your thoughts. Perhaps it's purely coincidence.

On the first one the omega logo is surely repainted. I would be really interested to hear if there is a specific reason it can happen around the logo area
