This is a beautiful and rare Omega 18 ct gold automatic chronometer from 1969/70.
It was a long-service presentation watch given to my grandfather at the time of his retirement in 1970.
Its automatic movement runs like a dream.
The face measures 24mm/26mm with the crown, and the lug width 20mm, length 42mm.
It is in Immaculate condition. My father doesn't think he ever wore it. It has an Omega alligator leather strap on it, with an Omega gold buckle.
I have no idea what has happened to the paperwork. I came across it in this beautiful wooden box, which I can't think is original but lovely nevertheless.
I have it insured for a sum commensurate with its rarity and ease of replacement which would be virtually impossible. I have not seen one like it.
