I was just idly googling photos of 321 chronographs - as you do - and came across this watch:

    $_1 (1).jpg $_1 (2).jpg $_1.jpg

I believe it should have a 321 movement. It is marked Omega but doesn't look quite like anything I've seen before.

Any ideas what's going on here ?

Not a 321 as that is not a column wheel movement. The watch should have one though as a 321 is correct for that caseback.

Its a lemania cal 1280 or 1281 I can't find the difference... I do not believe that Omega ever used that movement.

They are related to the cal 321 aka lemania 2310, but have a cam and not a column wheel. Technically this is the intermediate between the omega 321 and 861. This link near the bottom has great info http://www.donindiano.net/watches/breguet/type_xx/#type_xx

Looks like someone took a Lemania cal 1280/1281 and put the Omega bridge on it from a 321.
