I'm not sure what repairs would cost, I'm sure more knowledgable people on here give you a good idea! Looks like it's been through a war!

A photo of the movement would help. If he's been offered $700 and turned it down, I'd try to get it for $850 and go up a few hundred more. If you had to part it out you'd get a few hundred from the bezel (I'm assuming it's a dot over 90 but I can't tell). The pre pro dial is a bit rough but still is hard to find and I imagine worth more than $300. The hands should also be worth something. Finding a set of vintage hands that have aged together is worth a few hundred. The crown is original and worth a few bucks. If the movement turns out to be trashed, you might lose a few hundred, but if the movement is salvageable you'll have a watch worth a few thousand. A new crystal and pushers won't set you back that much when you get it serviced. The broken pusher is concerning because the watch hasn't been sealed for who knows how long. I don't however see any water staining on the dial. At $850 not a huge risk but possibly higher reward.

I'd gamble up to $1K or a bit higher. You won't get hurt too badly even if it's a bust...parts have some value.

    Good luck!

If he is pushing you to make a rush decision, I would be wary...

Obviously served as a beater for quite a few years. If you budget in about DKK5-8000 in servicing I guess you may end up with a nice watch.
The case has seen some abuse, but as a honest and well used Speedy 105.003 I would say it looks very interesting.
I agree that a price in the DKK10-15.000 may be ok. If the movement is completely gone there are other 321 movements out there. The dial and hands looks ok underneath the badly abused crystal. Not as minty as your Memomatic, but contrasts are also nice;)!

The thing I've learned in this game is, nothing that's cheap, comes cheap in the long haul! :p Case and point I almost lost £1200 because I rushed a deal…If it seems too good to be true, it very often is!

Thanks Northernman. And no kidding, that Memomatic is so nice, I only dare use it while working on cars, trucks, etc. ;)

No risk no reward--anything under $1k is a steal since all fixed up it would be a $3k level watch. Pushers should be relatively easy to source and you may want to replace both so they match. Hands and crown look original, as does bezel. And could the dial be a bit brown in real life? A routine overhaul for this movement should run around $350. The only issue would be if you needed parts to get it running I have heard some watchmakers complain that they have a hard time sourcing 321 parts. But maybe that is just an urban/unconnected watchmaker myth?
    Good luck,
    T.

Not a myth about the parts.

And, getting the correct parts as not all 321s take the exact same parts (most are the same). It can depend on the case.
