What can you tell me about DAVOSA watches?

I came across a Limited Edition DAVOSA watch that would be a nice fit in my collection and am trying to learn as much as possible about the brand before taking the plunge.
History?
Quality?
etc.....
The particular model is Davosa 2002 Carrera Panamericana

I don’t know if it’s a “no-no” but the limiteds I have are always marked on the back of the case not the dial.I am not familiar with the brand did you look for reviews online. I usually find good honest reviews you just need to get past the ones that are actually advertisements

I see them advertised in "hobby interest" magazines and having followed the link previously have found myself distinctly underwhelmed. I have no idea who owns Davosa and my apathy is the reason for never progressing beyond flicking through said hobby interest magazines but, hey, if you like it why not buy it.

Is there something about this rando brand that makes this any more interesting than the other dirty dozen homages?

It's actually the homage to the Carerra Panamericana auto race that is the attraction with the Davosa
