    Hey,

I have a late 50's Stainless Seamaster ref.2846. And I am trying to make it as complete as possible. To do this I need to find what sort of box this watch will have originally came in and also what sort of strap it came with. I am wondering if you guys could help me in identifying this?

Please see photo's below for the watch in question.
    Cheers,
    Sam

Hard to say which box this would have come with but it’s not a Dennison English case so certainly not one of the fifty’s top hat cases
Take a look at the movement number and check it’s date from the several box and papers omega watches I have they usually take
About two To three years on from that to point of sale then look for a box about that period
The winding crown looks incorrect to me I think that belongs to a Constellation model
Should be the cloverleaf type if you change it sell it on they are quite hard to come by

Yeah, I have changed the crown since, thanks for pointing out though! It Is a 501 cal movement. So not sure what sort of box that means it is though..

Straps where usually the choice of the original owner, it's impossible to tell what was on your watch when it was sold.
The closest you'd get is probably if you can find an old Omega ad to see what Omega marketing was using on your watch.
